“I don’t usually see crap like this on my news feed…”
“So, this was where my girlfriend and many of our friends went to high school, and we still live in the town where the school is located.
“Basically, a bunch of students skipped class for almost 3/4 of the school day (not just 2.5 hours like the article stated) and were angry that the superintendent told them not to do it again.
“What’s worse, two teachers left their classes for that long, and gave their students nothing to do during that time.
“Neither the teachers nor the students received any punishment or disciplinary action. My FaceBook feed is blowing up with dumb asses saying that ‘OMFG THEY ARE TRYING TO TAKE AWAY OUR RIGHT TO PRAY IN SKOOL”. No, we are saying that prayer has no place during classes at a taxpayer funded, public, secular, institution. Pray before or after class, or silently at your desk. Don’t disturb the school day.
“(P.S.: this is the same high school in which several students were seen wearing KKK uniforms in the cafeteria. What a good reputation our town must have now.)”
“I know of several particularly irritating Christians who are part of a Facebook posse of sorts. This group consists of young twentysomethings (the oldest is maybe 28) with Master’s degrees who look down on pretty much everyone who doesn’t have an unhealthy knowledge of philosophy and theology (the word “sheeple” is a favorite of theirs). They routinely post inflammatory or otherwise triggering statuses to rile people up, and gang up on anyone who tries to debate them. Since arguing and debating are pretty much the only things these jerks are good at (constant pseudointellectualism aside), they usually do win. And even when they don’t, it does nothing to stop their massive self-wankery at how awesome and educated they are. Truly vile individuals.”
“Hi! I am the Brooks from that whole “referring-to-Ghandi” debacle and my roommate, Olivia, is the one who submitted the post and I am SO GLAD she did!
“Just to give you some context, the woman (Elizabeth) attend the same church as my parents, which I grew up in still visit when I’m home, though I do not believe in all it’s regulations. She is sort of faceboook-notorious for starting drama and posting “facts” (i.e. her unfounded opinions), without being able to back them up. I figured it was time someone (respectfully) called her out on it.
“Sorry this message was so long. Just wanted to let you know the whole story in case you wanted it and also tell you that, as a Christian, I love your site!”
“Yes, this Tim person is a Christian. I thought part of Christianity was trying to make other people more likely to accept it? By, like, not intentionally saying things like this? Guess I was wrong…”
“I can’t even start on how offensive this is.”
Most of the stuff I receive is just stupid or annoying. This is disgusting.
“saw this on my facebook feed.. -_-“
“She makes a lot of statuses like this…her family is also the kind that comments on things her friends post on her page with ‘HI YOUR FRIEND SEEMS NICE, HOPE THEY ARE A CHRISTIAN BYE SWEETIE AUNTIE SAYS HI LUV U STAY SAFE’”
“My step-mother recently got facebook. She’s been posting things like this on a daily basis. This one was particularly stupid/terrifying.”
“i didn’t actually post this comment…but i sure as hell thought about it.”
“way to ruin a perfectly good movie”
“This girl is really sweet. I like her. But today is the day of the school shooting in Connecticut where 27 people, 20 of them children, lost their lives. This just massively rubs me the wrong way. God is supposed to care about her cold (or whatever) and make her better when in the same day he just stood by and let this shit happen to those poor people in CT.”
“I didn’t even know where to begin. Thankfully I had to go to work. Of course, I still couldn’t resist saying something, but seeing as I have to work with her, I kept it nice…”
